YOGA in the heart of bowness
Paolo Rigoni instructor-owner
In April, 2010, my wife dared me to join her and try a hot yoga class for my first time. At the end of that class, as I lay completely still, yet vibrating intensely in a small pool of my sweat, I realized that I was hooked and wanted to come back for more.
Practice and all is coming…..so I do. Trying many different practices of yoga over the years and several 30 day challenges. In the Fall of 2013 I decided to go further, taking a 250 hour teacher program at Yoga Passage Calgary, with much gratitude to instructors Tracy Mann, Carol Hutchinson and Tanis Fishman for sharing their gifts and love of yoga with me. I am also certified by Juliana Lavell, of Elevate Aerial Yoga, to teach Aerial Yoga, as well as Yin Yoga, completing the 50 hour Yin teacher training offered by Bernie Clark & Diana Batts at Semperviva Yoga Vancouver.
The immense Yoga Tree has many branches and my path has taken me to teaching both Yin and kid's yoga in Calgary studios as well as leading several Yin, Nidra and Kid’s workshops and retreats. Often opening and closing class with a guitar or ukulele and a song. My newest path is helping to bring many different types of yoga practice into Bowness's newest studio and strengthening the community, one breath at a time.
